Join the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania (ASWP) education staff to connect people with birds and nature this summer! Environmental Education interns lead school field trips; plan and lead our summer day camp program, and assist with other education and conservation efforts of ASWP.

End: August 2, 2024
Work days are mostly Monday through Friday, day shift but some weekend programs possible. 30 to 40 Hours per week.
Pay: $13.00 per hour. Hours offered are subject to the needs of the organization and not guaranteed. Housing is not available. ASWP will cooperate with your school to provide internship documentation if needed. We estimate at least 400 hours in total.
Positions will be based at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve, 614 Dorseyville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15238. Any position may be called upon to work at any ASWP location in southwestern Pennsylvania. Employees must provide their own transportation to work sites.
Requirements: At least 18 years old, High School graduate or GED. Reliable personal transportation. Background clearances required before beginning work. Enrolled in or graduated from a baccalaureate program or equivalent experience.
- Must enjoy the outdoors and working with children.
- Priority given to students pursuing degrees in education or environmental science.
- Prior experience with leadership in scouting, summer camps, informal education or similar is preferred.
